About RIPL
We were naked at the time, standing in the shower actually, when the idea for RIPL washed over us. Something in the water no doubt.

In that moment was born the idea of a neverending stream of content that would come to you from your friends. They wouldn’t have to do anything and neither would you, except to open the taps and let it flow. We’re all listening to music and watching videos all the time, so why not share them automatically? No more hunting around from web page to web page, trying to figure out what’s new and searching for things to forward along. That’s like taking a bucket down to the lake to get your drinking water. Just get indoor plumbing for heaven’s sake.

It gets better.

RIPL’s 23rd-century filtration systems remove unpleasant odors and infectious agents from your content stream, delivering nothing but pure, fresh music and video with the taste you like. Face it, some of your best friends are clueless about music. It doesn’t take long for RIPL to learn that and filter them out—or their music anyway. The same goes for movies and videos and blogs and photographs and even the ads. If you respond to something, you get more like it. If you don’t, you get less. The more you use RIPL, the better it works. It starts reading your mind.

And whatever you like goes to your friends. If they like it, it goes to their friends…and to their friends after that. That’s the RIPL effect. You might attract a following just by being yourself!

We could go on. How every item comes with its own chat window, so you can talk to your friend on the spot about that video without switching to some other application. How the coolest recording artists we know are using RIPL to connect with their fans. How you can put a RIPL shower head right on your MySpace page to show off all the cool people and content that make up your world. And it’s all free and legal.

As in life, it doesn’t work too well if you have no friends. No, RIPL isn’t trying to be the next whizzy social network. Everyone is already in lots of networks, and before long it’s going to start looking like one big network anyway. To RIPL it’s all just plumbing. All you have to do is connect RIPL to the networks you already have and you’ll be tapped into the flow.

It’s time to dive in. Get your account, download RIPL, add friends, play some music, just be yourself and start making waves! We can’t wait to see what you do.
